Dieppe Kite Festival

Sun Sep 12, 2010 3:45 pm

What a treat!

I`ve just been watching Stephan Briban =D> , Stephen Veerstegh =D> , Ray Bethell =D> and Richard Debray =D> (all spellings approximate).

Where are you all? This is amazing stuff.

OK, I've had a good look round and I could purchase pultruded carbon from next to nothing up to 16mm diameter, has anybody got a desire for something exotic. Unfortunately there are no high end carbon sticks, only pultruded.

Why do you think we arrive on a Friday night? We have to get to the market to buy (almost) enough food for a few days, then there's Thursday's top up market, then it's Saturday again.
In between there are a few kites :)
Seriously, there has been an amazing standard of flyers in the demo arena, from the bizarre, the hopefuls to the stand there jaw dropped good.

While the skin goes brown obviously, it turns the clove from white almost orangy translucent. adds a wonderful much milder smokey garlic flavour to your meals. so mild I can eat them raw - just!
Dont ask what variety the garlic is, no idea! just use in the usual manner. not often seen in the UK, but popular in France.
