A shame about the damp start, but it was good to see the wind pick up.
The Bunnies and the Decorators were the apex for me on both days.
But it's always great to see some of the big single line craft in the air.
Nice to say hello to some of you, for the first time.
Regards

Nice day out, shame the conditions were a bit grizzly but great tp see everyone none-the-less.

Sunday afternoon Trick Out.

16 man with another good half dozen on the field who could've joined in as well.

Round 1.

Chris vs Al - Chris wins (Tough draw again Al.)
Dan vs James - James wins (nice to see you Doc, top kite too.)
Emil vs Nufsed - Emil wins (wha's 'is name again - Nufsed)
Adrian vs Andy - Adrian wins (maybe as well though - 's a long way to walk home ;-) )
Danny vs Bryan - Bryan wins
Craig vs Piero - Piero wins
Enzo vs Jon - Jon wins (Split decision mind you)
Dave vs Tony - Dave wins

Quarter finals.

Chris vs James - Chris wins
Emil vs Adrian - Adrian wins
Bryan vs Piero - Piero wins
Jon vs Dave - Dave wins

Semis.

Chris vs Adrian - Chris wins
Piero vs Dave - Piero wins

Final.

Chris vs Piero - Chris wins

Well done all, and thanks for playing. Great standard in tough conditions - nice work.

Special mention for Danny B, nice to see you on the field dude, tough draw though, you wuz gonna need a bigger gun for that one. ;-)

Extra special mention for Enzo, flew with confidence and competence in front of half a field full of support. Some nice moves in there too, definately deserves a new Game Boy or some-such. ;-)

That just about wraps it up for the competitive season, just the straight line Euro-Cup at the end of the month, but given the weak UK representation, only thems going are likely to be bothered overly. (1 team, 1 pair, 2 indi and 1 quad indi - 6 people total BTW - jeez)

What amazes me, is the serious talent out there that doesn't yet come and join in much. Too many to mention, but I reckon if we wuz all in one place at one time - proper field full.

Oh yeah, it was mentioned that the entire Northern contingency fell over and broke his arm on Saturday - hope you're OK Mike, you were missed on Sunday for sure.

Great season guys, thanks everyone.

Nice to see everyone again, fly a few kites, watch some top flying and have a laugh.
Looks like another good turn out for the trick out, well done to those that entered. =D>

The Northern contingency did pick up a wrist injury on International duty but expects to be back in full training within weeks. 8-)

Bryan,

Don't forget you're an honorary Northener as well. :?

Sorry I couldn't make it down. Hopefully next year will be a bit saner on the work front.

great w.end, nice to meet some new faces, saw awesome flyin all around me, hope some of it rubbed off.
Shame bout the weather on sun- recovering trench foot... and wow- the wacky drug of the trick-out,
confusion of senses, limited motor skills, head rush, dry mouth, all in 3 minutes an all for free....
wen is the next one?
