Snow is forecast for the latter part of this week - I'm off to the frozen north this weekend (near Blackpool) so hoping for a steady offshore breeze :-)

I'm off to the even more frozen, even more North, Scotland working until Saturday, then back for the night, and New Brighton on Sunday. Home again, then back to Scotland on Monday for another couple of days.

Sheesh. This 'work' annoyance is becoming really tiresome.

Hmmm,

Getting a bit worried about New Brighton, it's going to be distinctly not much fun standing in the cold all day watching other people fly...

CU there :-)

No excuse for being cold if you don't have to do much moving about - just add more layers!

See you there!

Very short notice I know, but Jamie (Loki_79) and I plan to go for a fly tomorrow (Tuesday) evening (after 6pm) at Burton Dassett.

The forecast is pretty bad (i.e. almost no wind) but we're hoping there'll be enough to fly something.

Any other interested parties would be most welcome, but best if you bring a UL, SUL, or indoor kite...

Where is Burton Dassett ? I am not free tomorrow, but sometimes use Kenilworth school field for a quick fly before driving home. Any suggestions between Coventry and Swindon woul be appreciated !

Tony (about to sneak off to kenilworth in about 15 minutes)

It's very near Junction 12 off the M40, near Gaydon.

Is the Kenilworth school field you use Castle Farm sports ground, or is there another kite friendly site in Kenilworth?

Castle Farm. I have seen some power kiters using the fields near the river, but it's in a bit of a valley / lots of trees.

I'd guess on the top bit - maximum exposure to available wind etc., but to be honest it's so long since I've been there, I'm not sure. Do you want a mobile number to call if you just happen to be 'in the area'?

I've still got yours unless you've changed it, could possibly be 'just passing' you know.
