Cardiff (Pontcanna Fields) Every Wednesday.

Mon May 16, 2005 11:13 am

Anyone in Cardiff come and out number the power kiters. there have been a few sports kite flyers down there. Speaking to a few of the flyers who normally go out down pontcanna on a wednesday (powerkiters)...they are looking at the sports kites but need more people around who know what there doing to point them in the right direction.

Also another excuse to get out and have a mid week de-stress fly.

c'mon jess show us what you can do with that gemini of yours 8-)

normally meet up anytime after 5.30-6ish

I may be there this week. Keith won't...he's in Canada. :( Otherwise I'll be along when I'm not working (not all that often), cos I'm definately working every other wednesday afternoon.

Jess, If you come along, we've actually got that Gem of yours.

Just type "Fields Park Road Cardiff" into maps.google.co.uk

The little balloon is pretty much in the right place. You turn off Penhill/Cathedral Road on the corner at an odd junction where you can go two ways. One leads temptingly to a car park you can see ignore this and go down the other one into the houses. Drive over a couple of big speed humps and a large car park will appear on your right. Walk over the bank and you're into the field [ which the council are doing their best to ruin as a kite venue, having just recently planted another double line of trees down the middle, sheesh! ].

What time is everyone going? 5.30-6 is a bit early for me - I'm more likely to make it around 7 - 7.30.

I'll get in trouble asking her indoors to wait until 7 for food, but I'll try.
