Not really. Use the same instructions once you get to where the A3 merges and you see the marshes on your left.

presuming you're gonna come the coastal route you're just gonna love all the roundabouts around chichester!

and coming from your neck of the woods there's not a huge amount of difference time wise between going m20, m25, a3 or heading down to the a259 and heading west to the a27, again all depends on the traffic.

god i sound like 'only me' off of harry enfield! :D

Thanks, guys. Will play it by weather.

Agreed re M-way vs coast road times, but the latter is so much more pleasant as long as you don't get stuck behind a swivelhead-without-a-clue.

Various met sites have been predicting abysmal weather for Saturday; would one of the "locals" be willing to PM me his/her batphone number so I can get weather conditions from a real person before I leave? ('Tis a long way to come if all I'll be able to manage is a Psycho in the rain)

9am. Heavy showers. Wind driving the rain sideways. Not looking terribly likely so far. :( Will post later.

Crikey, that's not fun. I thought the forcast said the south coast would escape the rain!

Oh well, if it improves by midday...
