So - seriously, unless you have drysuit, waders or similar I'd take a raincheck on this one. I personally won't be going, and I live less than a mile away - save yourselves a trip & have a lie in instead.

Best Regards
STEVE

:( sounds like good advice... I think I will take a raincheck.

Hi guys. Well the weather has done it again. Following on from Steve's report I have spoken with the other Northenmonkey group members and we will follow the advice given and will not be traveling down. As it was going to be a dry day we were quite prepared to brave the winds in the hope that the afternoon would bring calmer gusts but if the field is water logged it just doesnt make sense to travel all that way.

Now all I need to do is learn to keep my mouth shut about long range weather forecasts.

Many thanks for braving the elements, Steve.

I for one won't be making the journey down.

Sorry guys. :(

Should have gone with the majority vote. Last weekend was much better.

Defintely welly weather! :(

Will start a separate thread, but I have had an optimistic person ask me whether it's worth trying to schedule in something in January, when we can probably factor snow into the equation as well. ;)

....And what happened to the curry, Steve?

Well first of all can I say that it was not me who has suggested a meet up in January. I had got so excited that I dont think I could take another cancellation. I havent felt that sad since I found out Santa is dead. (Sorry to break the news to anyone if you didnt already know)

Well back to the curry Jon. It wasnt wasted. 4 portions were given away to friends and the remaining 3 went in the freezer. Can I say that I ate your portion for T tonight and it was one of my better ones. But dont worry, your on the list for next time.
