Exeter?

Sat May 07, 2011 5:08 pm

Gonna be living and working near to Exeter for the next 6 - 8 weeks.

Any suggestions as to where to go? Anybody down that way flying regularly?

Get thee to Exmouth festival of course, 4/5 June.

As for who flies in the area, Mark and Teresa Brackenridge, Dave Ellison and others I'm sure.

Exeter is about 1 1/4 hours from here - if you fancy a drive down the A30 for a fly, let me know

You used to be able to get on the racecourse there to fly, reasonable enough site, but don't have up to date info.

Exmouth Rec Ground takes some beating with a N or NE.
Just a great place to fly.

Total isolation : Chimney Down Tiverton. (45 mins but worth it , been there two days and seen nothing, great for a W , NW, check the wind and divide by two)

David is only up the road!

If can help call or on FB.

After much fannying around Woodbury Common 'rolly eyes' area this evening, ended up following the road a bit further down to Exmouth and wound up at the festival site (probably the rec. is it?) 'cos I saw a chappy floating a 'Davies' Sky Dancer around and thought 'must be able to fly there then...' Anyhoot, nice spot - I'll call that flying central for the next few weeks. ;-)

Just a couple of weeks left here now... next stop South Moulton near to Barnstaple for at least 6 months, maybe longer.

We're moving house the weekend of the STACK meet at Rougham BTW, which means we wont get there at all unfortunately. Will get to Berrington the following weekend for the day Sunday though. (Late arrival Saturday night!)

Anyhoot - anyone round and about South Moulton, shout out. ;-)
