Revolution add to their interesting if impractical range, some 1s by Carl Robertshaw.

A variety of colourways but the phrase Please call the office or me for prices..... shows what sort of "flyer" these kite-like flying devices are intended for. I'd be interested to see this approach taken with kites I'd want to fly though.

I've got a lot of respect for Carl as a flier and for his Matrix and Fury kites, but this design for a Revolution just doesn't do it for me. But that's just my personal opinion; I wouldn't want to dictate what others should or should not fly

I thought it was just me, but guess not
Little bit dull
I also agree, if you have to ask, you can't afford :(

Well everyone has to ask so.... no-one can afford :-k

I have a fine and distinguished history of buying CarlKites™ for occasionally sizeable sums. If these designs and workmanship were available on something other than a Rev I'd be all over it inspite of really not needing another kite. Someone should wise up and tap into that sort of thing.

Rereading the original info from rev, there is 150 odd designs all individual, so hopefully something more to taste

Had a good close up looksee of one of these today - hadn't time to grab the handles though ;-) and a nice conversation with Carl. You really don't want to know the price of these, unless you're just gonna buy one anyway - in which case the price doesn't actually matter. (Much like my lack of slef restraint when it comes to Bensons (not long now!), JoE's (not long now!) and Kitehouse's (???) - Oooh Oooh though, look out for Chris's new thing - 's coming along very nicely indeed thank you very much ;-) )

Bugger where were we?

Ah - Carl's Masterpiece Edition Revolution... 's not just a new pattern BTW, allthough you could be mistaken into thinking that if you didn't actually know. Still a couple of bits of string too many for my taste though.

Yeah I do... self restraint never been one of my strong points either... I want one. Was discussing it with Chris a year or so back when in development - look really nice in the flesh (well pixels on my laptop anyways) - 's on the have to have list.

MMM... mine...

You have to ask Ben for the price, it's twice what I paid for my original Rev I in 1998 but I am so looking forward to getting hold of this one. Mainly because it's a CarlKite™ and everyone knows his high standards of craftmanship 8)

I like them. Distinctly Carl but with a nice twist I think. And all 150 are unique colour combos.

As stated, if you're gonna get one anyways... price don't matter. ;-)

I am ballparking it at around £350 then.

Has anyone seen a jaw anywhere around here ? Just the bottom half but I seem to have misplaced it.

EDIT: or have I undershot considerably on the price and need to locate the top of my head as well ?

Is there some sort of competition here?
Like, who's paying the highest price ever for a quad kite?
Sorry, but it all seems rather counter-intuitive to me.
Especially as the ones illustrated in the foregoing posts look, to me, just like laundry on a washing line.
Except Daz's. Possibly ...
