That is pretty naff

It's a pity that Peter Betancourt has removed some of his earlier, embarrassing creations. The word lurid springs to mind. Beautifully made but vile

 that Gemini is SO wrong

The Gemini is indeed an affront to all right thinking individuals but getting back to Mr. Knott, look at this:

It's just too much. Forget about the black/grey/rainbow/white/grey wingtip panels, avoid the red LE and reinforcements, remove the tail "details", moderate the rainbow centre section and it might be possible to retain your last meal.

Thing is, the owner then went and asked for more rainbow applique to be added

I have a Masquerade in a colour scheme all in this forum would find abhorent
Cann't say much more in defense apart from I like it :?
Craig has seen it so ask him...
Great kite to fly and I've always felt Wayne has some 'Euro' sensibilities when designing kites though retaining an american feel (if thats what we are calling axle based tricks  )

Not to call Jeremy's spelling into account, but the trick is spelt Axel isn't it? Otherwise I have to change an awful lot of text and register another domain. I've been thinking of registering the Axle version anyway just to make it easier for people to find us.

Talked to a Rev Blast flier on the common last night and had to make sure he spelt it right.

Still - would be easier if I got off my ar*e and printed some cards...

Back on topic

Are we agreed that colours like that are only 'bad' on dualies? I mean if (most of) the above appeared on a rok or delta it'd be okay wouldn't it? Why is that acceptable, yet most of us scoff at the rainbow-fade stuff on a stunter (for want of a better word describing dual-line delta kites).

Looking at the real Wayne kite there... even the LE is in red Dacron... surely a pure-black one would frame the rest of the image better? I think I could actually like that kite if it was just in black, grey and white.

Go on Jeremy... post a pic of your Masquerade. I dare you. ;) ;)

I don't think that anyone has suggested that his kites don't fly well, it's just they look like a 6th form art project gone off the rails.

IMHO 8-)

Errr....... it flew nice, but maybe a little too floaty from what I remember.

To be honest I dislike 99.9% of trible type appliques even in subtle colours.
