Fly-In at Stoke Park this Sunday, 15th April 2007

Wed Apr 11, 2007 2:58 pm

Anyone up for a fly-in this Sunday?

I've an old friend (Hans von Lengerke - some of you old-timers may remember him from them good ol' kite flyin' days of last millenium) who's coming over from Germany for the weekend. We're planning to meet up in Stoke Park to fly some kites on Sunday afternoon.

I'm pleased to report that the Guildford Biodome is in fine working order and the weather looks like being most pleasant this weekend.

Anyone else up for it?

A

I'd love to come along, especially if some other great fliers can be there. I'll have a little test build I'm eager for some feedback on :D

Well, me too. I'll make it if this French POS will make it without pretending to overheat!

I'll try and make it, not a good flier, so I'll be watching and learning I hope.

Looks like the wind will be good for 'light' kites.

That was a nice gathering. I enjoyed it. Lots of sun but, Andy, next time can you remember to book the wind too?
