Glastonbury bound?

Wed Jun 22, 2005 12:33 pm

Is there anyone Glastonbury bound that fancies meeting up for a little fly?

*jealous*

Have fun.

Out of interest what do you propose to fly, and where? I considered taking something last year but never got round to it in the end.

Errr, not been before so not sure of available space - but couple of dualies and a rev with lines from 20ft to a reasonable length if there is space available (plus an odd SLK or two). Im up before the dawn most days so was hoping to fly whilst most others were still fast asleep 8-)

Pre-dawn flying will be cool.. plenty of space.

You'll probably draw a crowd flying in the day if you can find room. For dualies I'd say small and light on short lines, like a 3D or something. The Rev will get them all going I'm sure ;) There'll be room for that up by the stone circle most of the day I reckon.

Wish I could be there.

Brian, it's good to hear that someone who went to Glastonbury can actually remember being there

  Inspired by all this talk of Glastonbury I started looking up some of the other festivals that I've been to in the past.

The most unusual one has to be the Alice in Wonderland Magical Mystery Trip. It was on the 6th July 1985 (20 years ago  ) and I was living in Scarborough / York at the time and travelled to London.

"Alice In Wonderland then came up with the unique idea of the Magical Mystery Trip which involved buying advance tickets to an unknown and totally secret event. On receipt of the tickets the budding Mystery Tripper was given only a time and meeting place. On arriving at the rendezvous the gathered trippers sat and awaited further instructions, delivered by a member of the Alice In Wonderland entourage..."

It started at 10:00pm and finished at 10:00am and the film Dr Who and the Daleks played all night - backwards! The girl wearing nothing but cling film and covered in green slime also stood in a corner and played the violin!

 And I thought me and my friends did some strange stuff when we were younger! Naked....green slime, playing the violin! That's sooooo Ken Russel!
