Peter, is there a particular part of the site best used for flying?

just spoke to steve, and we thought it might be fun to try a (VERY) informal trick-out in the afternoon.

Anyone else up for it?

Site layout -welllllll, when you drive in, go to the far end nearest the brick building (toilets) and then dump car and walk past the building into the next field.
It's basically the top of the hill and it's wedged shaped with the car park at the tip, widening out as you get closer to the old earthwork castle. at least it's reasonably flat and quite open.
the other field is on the slope of the hill, not too bad to start with, but tips away. we've usually left that to single liners. but as it's not a club day it's wherever we can find space!
we do get horse riders sometimes going along the path to the castle, lots a walkers, kids with footballs and dogs though! most do stay to the path thankfully, and even some appreciative watchers!!
hope that helps
P.

presume we will organise trick out rounds on a who pulls the short straw etc. Unless we have a PA i think we should fly to vocal harmonies from the judges (ie the rest of us), with additional points for singing.

Jo, I think your Grolsch will become sought after currency

I think that i say for all when "a good day was had"
everything was great apart from maybe the wind being a little more kind.....still it kept us on our toes. Great to be able to put faces to names now and great to speak to others and try other gear. Bring on the summer meeting.

Andy, thanks for organising the day. Thanks to Jo for supplying the grub, I think Jim has a job on his hands to match that...

Glad you liked the team flying bit, although "leader" is a misnomer seeing as I didnt really know what we were trying to do  ( yeah yeah I know it was obvious :lol:)

Jim and I will select a couple of routines from Rays book, and bring them along, so at least we will have some direction. I'll also have some 150ft lines by that time, so at least we should be able to muster four sets of equal length..
