An impressive bit of tech

F1 timing app for iPhone

I've rapidly approaching zero interest in F1 anymore and no real prospect of getting an iPhone or iPod Touch but this is a very sweet bit of converting data into information.

Of course it's not without its limitations, according to their FAQ:
How accurate are the car positions?
They are accurate to about 200 yards (this varies from track to track).

Which is, frankly, crap in a sport that measures timing to three decimal places. Anyone here using it ?

Im in the same boat as to my interest in F1. I still find the cars and tech absolutely incredible, but the broadcasting here in the US is almost zero. You European/UK guys really have all the good racing over there.
