Alpha Kites X

Tue Sep 03, 2013 10:34 am

Something new at 2:42.

At least I have never seen that before. =D>

And I personally think this sale layout is nothing short of the best new idea in a long time. I love my TNT...so I am having a hard time not scheming in my head as to how to get one.

phpBB [video]

Enjoy.

new? not at all

i did it with my sin (https://vimeo.com/27893637) two years ago (yesyes, this one is executed much better)

also in mathias' bill-video: https://vimeo.com/65435895

the X looks nice, but the backspins need a lot of guidance at the looks of it (may be the bad winds)

Nice idea, although I think that the lower left of the X is a bit too dominant.

I realize that its *different* ... but there is a touch of CdC Dream Ticket about the graphic

this is the best shot a lazy search could yield - Mike will find a better one :-)

Nice Frazer. Smack on point.

Nice Krijn. Also, smack on point.

As usual, nothing new under the sun.

Carry on.

Just so as we're all clear ... I'm merely noting a slight similarity regarding the graphics

I'm not suggesting that the "X" is derivative and mean no offense to Heiko / Alphakites

I like the look of the sail, I also like the TNT in black and white.

Looks like a cool kite.

I reckon my chances of seeing one at the beach in Australia are pretty low, mores the pity.

It's a pretty nice trick, right? I have never seen that done, so that is why I was so happy about it.

Does anyone have one of these? I am looking to buy a set. UL, STD and Vented. Here in Honolulu it is often 15 to 20 mph winds with gusts to 25. I would say that is the most prevalent wind condition; although we get one to two week spells of light winds as well. I want a high quality set of kites that I can fly in almost any reasonable condition.

I have some really excellent kites but when the wind gets up to and over 20 MPH it is just to strong for them. Here that is half of the time.

Anyway I was hoping that some of you may have one of these kites and would be willing to share your impressions of it. I haven't been able to find a third party review. I know that this manufacturer has an excellent reputation but it has been based on prior models.

Anyway thanks in advance for your advice.

Aloha,
Todd
